VSRT (Very Special Rare Tea) Tea Bag Tea & Loose Leaf - BLACK
A fine Ceylon Tea from the Gampola region of Sri Lanka, 1,500 feet above sea level. Organically grown Flowery Pekoe with shotty, black leaf appearance. The dark coppery infusion yields a pale brown cup, with medium strength and piquant flavour. The liquor has a gentle floral character, with medium body and colour and a lightly toasted finish.
Knotty and small bits of leaves in dark brown and purple-red colours. The cut open leaf in the infusion is red-brown. The liquor is orange brown with sappy-green tones. A walnutty and almost woody tea in smell and taste and with a malty quality. The taste lingers, and the tannins are sticky. A sustaining tea.
